'A Christmas Carol' performed by Gerald Dickens

20th or 21st December 2024

We are delighted to announce that Gerald will be returning to us for this amazing performance!

What Christmas would be complete without a performance of the quintessential classic tale 'A Christmas Carol'?

Performed by the Gerald Dickens, the great, great grandson of the author Charles Dickens, you'll be part of an exclusive audience where he recounts this fantastic story.

Before the performance which begins at 6.30pm, we'll be running our Christmas event during the day, so you'll have the chance to explore over 200 years of railway history across 21 acres at Didcot Railway Centre and you can therefore take full advantage of having the site at your disposal before we transport you down to the transfer shed where the performance will take place.

Please note that if you want to participate in the reindeer hunt, you will need to purchase a separate ticket for this.

During the performance, there'll be a short break where you'll enjoy mulled wine and mince pies and have the chance to talk to Gerald himself about his life's work keeping his great, great grandfather's memory alive for audiences today.

The evening will finish when you're taken by diesel back to our entry gate to wend your way home.
